One teaching unit

The activity can be carried out within one hour of synchronous teaching (one lesson).

One week

The activity requires one lesson and individual work to be done outside school time.

2 - 4 weeks

The activity requires more lessons (2 to 10) and individual work; it might be referred to as a "didactic unit".

4 - 12 weeks

The activity requires several lessons (more than 10) and individual work; it might be referred to as a "didactic module".

Tests

Concept Explanation
Student homework or project work

The teacher evaluates the work the student has done individually or in a group. The form of the work can be partially or completely decided by the student. The content of the work represents a further insight into a topic taught during the lesson(s).

Written online test

The teacher either submits a test through an online testing platform or sends a document; the students have to answer multiple-choice questions and/or open-ended questions.

Oral online interview

The teacher interviews one student at a time using a video-conference software or in person.
